Someone could have tried to try and guessing your windows account’s password. No matter how great your security system is, if your password is guessable, then anyone can get trough it. That is why you have to create the difficult password. You can do it by combining several characters like number, symbol, and many more character.

Beside the strong password, there are several things to do more to gain your security system. One of them is preventing the password’s guessing action.

This is how to do it. Lock the account after someone put the wrong password for several times.

Please follow these steps:

1. Click [Start] button, write secpol.msc to the search column and then press [Enter].

2. After the Local Security Policy Editor is open, then get in to the “Account Policies” and choose [Account Lockout Policy].

3. Right click [Account lockout threshold] then click [Properties].

4. Add the number of “invalid logon” from the zero default number and make the number bigger. If you fill it with number 3, other people—and so do you—may only wrong put the wrong password for three times. After 3 times wrong, the account will be locked.

5. Click [OK] to save the changes. We suggest you to reopen the locked after few minutes. Use the duration control to the “policy Account lockout duration”.
