Samsung NC20 Released Without Atom But Adopts VIA NANO

Samsung NC20 is a spring generation from Samsung NC10 that released a year ago. It seems that Samsung NC20 is coming late if consider Samsung competitors that have already create ultra-portable notebook into market, just like Sony G11, Zepto Notus A12, Toshiba R500. In the other hand, Samsung also released Q35 to defend their competitor.

If most of the Samsung competitor released their notebook with Processor Intel Atom N270 with chipset 945GSE, but Samsung decided to adopt Processor VIA NANO U2250 with chipset VIA VX800.

U2250 has clock speed 1.3GHz with TDP 8W. Samsung NC20 is being complete with memory slot with capacity 1GB and able to save memory only 4GB. That is not all. U2250 is supported by CPU Z, SiSoftware Sandra, PcMark05, and S3 Screen Toys that able to produce higher speed than clock speed that offered.

Samsung NC20 is using hard disc Samsung NM160HI with SATA interface that has capacity 160GB sized 2.5” 5400rpm. This hard disc has maximum transfer sped up to 64.5 Mbps.
